HBC - Procard Credit Card Offer


Challenge

The retailer’s 3 business units (The Bay/Home Outfitters/Zellers) needed a way to track recurring purchase incidence and patterns of customers who took advantage of one-time credit card signup discount offer.

Solution

Innovative created a dual Procard mailer, matched to each credit card via a unique barcode, that included two promotion cards. Both double-thick cards were tagged to the original credit card signee and the store where it was issued and they offered % discounts on future purchases. This created detailed basket and geographic purchasing patterns from three visits for every credit card taker. The 1-pass production process allowed the client to come in on budget.
